Become a Skijammers Instructor and/or Bus Chaperone

Everyone has the potential to be a great teacher or coach and leave a lasting impact on students. Each of us brings our own unique skill set to the hill. Some of us start out as great communicators and teachers. Others bring a lifetime of skiing or riding.  But all of us can impact students in a powerful way.  Every new path begins with a first step.  Initial training is handled during the month of December and focuses on:

  • Skill Development and Technical Understanding
  • Teaching Fundamentals
  • Skijammers and Boardjammers Curriculum

All Skijammers instructors are independent contractors and paid a daily rate based upon certification level and years of service with Skijammers Ski and Snowboard School.  We look forward to seeing you out on the hills.

  • Our instructors also receive a 1/2 price rate on enrollment for their children.
  • Training: We will teach you the Skijammers curriculum. If you can ski, have your own equipment, and are passionate about skiing we will provide all the training you need to be successful.
  • Small Groups: Our average group size is 6 kids per instructor. There is some variation depending on age. Each group is made up of like age and ability kids and you'll be working with the same group during the 8-week program.
  • Lift tickets are provided by our partner ski areas when you are working.
  • Personal and Professional Development: As an instructor, your own skiing will improve and we offer many additional opportunities to further develop your skills.
  • Snowsports Equipment and Clothing discounts are available with our affiliation network of retailers.
  • Additionally, we believe in professional development opportunities and offer a $200 reimbursement for returning staff who were successful at PSIA/AASI Level II and III Certification Exams.  The Skijammers pay rate is dependent on certification level.
